Cancer Focus Northern Ireland urgently needs volunteers to help at a collection in Ballymena town centre on Saturday, June 4 to raise funds for the charity’s lifeline art therapy service.

Art therapy, run by experienced art therapist Joanne Boal, helps anyone affected by cancer to express emotions such as fear, anxiety or depression when words fail.

It’s an invaluable support to many people across Northern Ireland.

Cancer Focus NI volunteer coordinator Morag Chambers said: “By raising £600 we can provide six group sessions for patients and £6,000 pays for regional art therapy sessions all over Northern Ireland.

“By raising £13,000 we can continue to provide an art therapy service to children, during and after their cancer treatment at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

“You can help us reach our targets and continue providing this valuable service by donating just two hours of your time on June 4, anytime between 10am and 5pm.”

If you can spare a few hours please ring Morag on 028 9066 3281 or you can email Morag at [email protected]
