“After enjoying champagne and chocolate on arrival, enter into one of our luxurious rooms and begin your journey - for starters a warm aloe body wrap to cocoon you from head to toe, then a zesty hot shower followed by a full body massage to melt your senses away.

“For mains enjoy an anti-age multi-vitamin facial, working with the most advanced light therapy to tighten around the eyes and neck area. And, not forgetting the hands and feet, we will buff, polish and paint.

“And finish with a yummy lunch of your choice, compliments of Linen House tea rooms.”

Sarah added, “We are delighted to be celebrating 10 years in business this year and are really pleased with the opportunity to work with the Banbridge Leader on this competition.

“This is a fabulous prize and we really want to spoil the winning mum in the salon as well as treating her to a nice lunch in Linen House tea rooms afterwards. We have a very loyal group of local customers and are delighted to be able to provide this special prize for one very deserving mum.”

01 Rosina Copeland was nominated by her son and daughter.

Son Colin said: “I think my mum Rosina deserves this prize because she brought six children into this world and has never complained once. She now has 16 grandchildren whom she loves just as much as her own children. She’s been without dad now for four years since he passed away. She gets very lonely, but we all do our best now to help her as best we can, she is an outstanding person and someone to whom I’m very grateful too. She looked after my dad for 25 years through his illness and I think that deserves this one off prize,

Daughter Michelle said: “I would like to nominate my mother Rosina Copeland for the one off prize. I think my mum deserves this treatment because she has a heart of gold. I am the eldest of her six children, and we all love her so very much. Especially me, as she has always been there for me through thick and thin. She is more like my best friend and I can talk to her about anything. She always gives good advice, whether we want it or not and she’s always right. She lost her husband, her soul mate and friend, my father Clarence in January 2008, and she misses him dearly. Mum cared for my ill father for over 20 years and I know if he was alive he would be proud of me nominating her for this.

She never asked anyone for any help in those years of caring for him - even when she wasn’t well herself she battled on. I would really love my mum to win this as she isn’t well herself. But still she runs after us all, when needed. She has been a fantastic wife, mother and grandmother, and loves each and every one of us equally. She loves having all her family round her even though she can’t stick the noise of us all, lol. So I think my wonderful, caring mother deserves to be pampered - even if it’s just for one day. Love you always mum.”

02 Helen Murphy was nominated by her daughter Tina

“I love my mum so much and there is no-one more deserving of this prize. My mum has put up with so much with me being a bit of a rip growing up! Since I had my two children I now realise how much she does for me. She is amazing, she is always smiling no matter what and she helps me out with my kids too. She is just so helpful, pleasant and just a happy wee mummy and granny and I would love for her to get pampered because she absolutely deserves it, this is a picture of me and mum on her birthday when we took her clay pigeon shooting lol! Love you mum!”

03 Liz Scullion was nominated by her daughter-in-law Bernie

“My husband Sean and I have two sons, Adam and Christopher. In January 1996 Christopher was given a few hours to live. It was at this time that I realised how invaluable Liz would be.

“Christopher did survive and spent three months in hospital and as I stayed with him day and night and Sean had to work, Liz took time from her work to look after Adam, get him to school, pick him up, cook meals and keep the home running. Liz’s help and support was just amazing I don’t think we could have made it through such a bad time without it. Christopher is disabled and needs 24-hour care I also have arthritis but Liz and her husband Brian are always there helping out in some form.

“Liz and I get on so well - it’s like having a second mum and she now also suffers with Arthritis but she is still there for us.”

04 Vivienne Corbett was nominated by her daughter Jemma
