Walk for Meningitis

Meningitis Research Foundation wants you to join them on Sunday 11th September for a spectacular walk through the Glens if Antrim.

The 9.5 mile circular route passes through the popular Glenariff Forest Park and also follows Skerry East Road – one of the most attractive but least used roads in Northern Ireland. You will also visit Glenravel one of the lesser known Glens.

CAUSEWAY Womens Aid are now taking registrations for courses in September in Ballycastle to help improve reading, writing and ICT skills with creche facillities provided.

Are you finding it hard to fill in forms, helping your child with homework, reading instructions, managing finances, using the internet, finding a job?

Volunteers needed

The Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) is urgently seeking new volunteers to help in its charity shops in Coleraine and Ballymoney.

Registration day

Mother Goose Community Playgroup at Sheskburn Community Centre are holding their registration day on Friday 2nd September from 10 a.m. - 12 noon.

Places are available to all children aged 3 years old.

Places may be available for children aged 2 years 10 months. A register will be kept in playgroup and children will be called when a place becomes available in accordance with the Admissions policy available at playgroup.

Summer Scheme

This year Mosside Youth Club ran another very successful Summer Scheme

Over 60 children and young people from Mosside and surrounding district attended the Scheme which ran from July to August.

As usual there was a full programme of activities with games crafts sports and competitions in the first week

The highlight of week 1 was the PSNI quiz and the Youth Club are very grateful to the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

In week 2 there was a programme of educational and recreational trips which included a visit to Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory, Shankill Wave Pool, Lisburn, W5 @ the Odyssey, the Jet Centre and the National Trust Centre at the Giant’s Causeway.

The Summer Scheme ended as usual with a Disco when awards were presented.

Mosside Youth Club would like to thank Moyle District Council who provide funding, NEELB who contribute to the cost of wages for staff who run the scheme All the volunteers who gave up their time to help on the trips

Last but not least all the young people who attended and their parents for their continued support for the Summer Scheme.
