Walk on coals for RNLI

ADVENTUROUS volunteers are being sought for what is believed to be Larne's first firewalk event.

Probably the hottest charity event to take place this year, the RNLI Larne fundraising branch firewalk will take place on Saturday, May 29 at the Kiln.

Stephen Craig, chairman of the lifeboat branch, said that everyone in the branch is very excited about the event.

"It's a great opportunity to do something different while raising money for RNLI, which receives no Government funding," Stephen added.

"All we are challenging you to do is to strip off your socks and shoes and make the short walk, or run, across a bed of hot coals. I'm sure friends and family would be willing to sponsor you to see you."
