Waringstown duo at leadership conference

WARINGSTOWN Primary School was represented at an ‘Enhancing Leadership’ conference recently.

The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) and the Regional Training Unit (RTU) held one of two conferences at the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown aimed at enhancing leadership and driving up standards and pupil achievement.

Gary Kennedy and Carl McCambley, from Waringstown PS, were at a conference which explored how schools can make effective and sustainable improvement to drive up standards and to build a sustainable and high performance culture within schools.

They focussed on the characteristics and qualities of school leadership and management which have been shown through research and inspection evidence to be the most effective in raising standards and pupil achievement in schools.
