Waringstown WI meet

Waringstown Women’s Institute’s December meeting took the form of a members’ night.

Acting president Jean Tweed, welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The evening’s entertainment kicked off with a rendering of songs from ‘The Good Old Days’ led by Margaret Ryan.

Martha Arlow then impressed the audience with her ‘juggling’ act and Lynn McIlroy recited a poem.

It was followed by Emily Gilchrist and Liz Walker who performed their party piece ‘The Fairy and the Christmas Tree’.

Sadie Hamilton, Martha Arlow, Louise Lyness and Jean Tweed entertained with a comedy sketch entitled ‘Mother and Me’.

Birthday girl was Margaret Cowdy.

The evening ended with a lovely supper and the singing of Christmas carols.
