Warning on copper thefts: Police

POLICE are warning people who are in possession of copper to be on their guard against thieves.

The increasing cost of the metal has prompted a number of thefts, according to Inspector Bryan Hume.

The latest was at a building belonging to the Probation Board at Novally Road in Ballycastle where someone entered the premises on Tuesday of last week and stole a hot water tank.
