Was bringing an uninsured vehicle to yard to sell it

Padraig Judge, whose address was given as Millbrook Court, Lurgan, was fined £200 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for not having insurance on December 7 last year.

He was also given six points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard police detected the defendant driving without insurance on the Northway in Portadown.

Judge said he was selling the vehicle and was taking it to a mechanic’s yard on the Garvaghy Road.

He admitted he had no insurance.

A solicitor representing the defendant said he was driving to the yard to sell the vehicle.
