WATCH: Campaign for a skatepark in Portrush continues

The future use of the Dunluce Centre was discussed at a public meeting in Portrush on Wednesday night.

One of the suggestions put forward included an outdoor skate park in the grounds of the centre, located at the Metropole.

As a result of the meeting, a group has now been established, ‘Portrush Matters’ to make representations to Counci and MLA’s about the future of Portrush.

Causeway Coast and GLens councillors Maura Hickey, Trevor Clarke and Mark Fielding were in attendance at the meeting, held in Portrush Town Hall, alongside around 40 residents.

Plans to develop a skate park in the area was first talked about some twenty years ago.
