WATCH: Rock father tells Eoin’s story

A Rock man, whose baby son died following an operation to repair a hole in his heart, has recorded a video in a bid to raise awareness of his son’s condition.

By releasing the video, Eoin’s story, Eamonn Cush also hopes to encourage as many people as possible to come along to a fundraising event in Eoin’s memory.

Eamonn has organised a special showing of the St Mungos Luganulk play in aid of Helping Hand at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

This follows the success of his recent Royal Rumble boxing event, about which the father-of-three said: “I would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support.”

The up-coming comedy and music night in Galbally is next in a series of events Eamonn said he hopes to put in the run up to the big climb.

Tickets for the event, which takes place n Galbally Community Centre on Saturday, January 24 at 8pm, and will be followed by a set from traditional folk band The Flyin’ Fiddle, are £12.50 and available to buy from Kingsbridge 24 Hour Filling Station Cookstown - between Asda and Otter lodge, Stewarts Music Shop Dungannon, Grimes XL Stop and Shop Donaghmore, Tallys Shop Galbally and Galbally Community Centre, but are also available at the door on the night.

Doors open at 7pm and the Bar will be open before and after play, which starts at 8pm.
