Watch: Smoke billowing from Dutch cargo ship, the Marit, in Londonderry
The film - shot by local photographer Liam Crossan - shows smoke rising from the Marit, and blowing over the UK-registered Eastern Vanquish, which is visible in the foreground and obscures the smoking ship from view.
Fifty firefighters were required to bring the blaze under control.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the Port said: “We can confirm that a fire broke out on board the Dutch-registered bulk carrier ‘Marit’ at Lisahally Terminal Londonderry Port this morning at 6.50am.
“The port’s emergency response plan was instigated and the fire service were called out. The fire was quickly extinguished and the vessel was declared safe at 8.30am. Cargo operations have recommenced and the vessel is due to sail on Thursday, January 28. There are no injuries to report.”
