Watch: Stewartstown kids dressed to the 80's for school's birthday
The school held a special assembly in school for all the children and special visitors. The colourful choir sang a special birthday song which they wrote themselves.
An oak tree was planted in the outdoor learning centre(oak = 80 years) along with a time capsule which is a snapshot of current school life in Stewartstown Primary School.

Hide AdSandra Overend – past pupil of the school, took time out of her busy schedule to assist with the plantation of both the tree and the time capsule.
“We were delighted that many past pupils, parents and governors were able to attend,” said the principal of the school Kendra Bolton.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed the 80’s style disco in the afternoon. This event followed the 80th Birthday Bash which was held in Killymoon golf club in February.
Ms Bolton added: “ I am delighted to be appointed the new principal of Stewartstown Primary School during a very special and momentous year for the school and the community.

Hide Ad“The school is thriving and certainly has a lot to celebrate. It’s fantastic to see the community come together to join in the celebrations which are continuing throughout the year. A very special fun night is organised for 17th June and everyone would be made most welcome.”
