Water babies make a splash for charity

LOCAL baby swimming company, Water Babies Northern Ireland, is getting ready to celebrate the nation’s finest summer of sport with a special charity event to raise money for TinyLife, Northern Ireland’s premature baby charity.

Amy West-Hurst, who runs Water Babies in Belfast, explained: “To celebrate the Olympics, we have decided to join in the fun and hold our own Water Babies Games on various dates throughout July. Babies and their parents can enjoy synchronised swimming, relay races, gymnastics and bar work. This year we have chosen to raise funds for baby charity, TinyLife and we’re asking anyone who would be interested in donating a few pennies to this great cause to please visit www.justgiving.com/waterbabies-games-ni.”

Regional Fundraising Manager for TinyLife, Valerie Cromie said, “The Water Babies Games will offer a unique opportunity for babies to have a little flavour of the Olympic Games and is a great way for local parents to support sick and vulnerable babies in Northern Ireland.”
