Councillor Fleming went on to say: "Over the past few nights a very small group of youths have been involved in a number of anti community activities at Strabane Old Road and the junctions of Chapel Road /Fountain Hill involving blocking the roadway with burning wheelie bins and other materials
"The one thing that I am sure of is that they didn't burn their own wheelie bins but have subjected local residents to a financial burden of having to replace their bins.
"The people who were involved need to be held responsible both in financial terms and in terms of their debt to this community for their actions. The patience of the local community is running thin.
"The PSNI have a responsibility to take these individuals off the streets."
