Watton full of praise for '˜Coleraine's Road to the Somme' project

PUP Causeway Coast and Glens councillor Russell Watton has praised all those involved in last week's '˜Road to the Somme' project.

The Coleraine man said he attended most of the events and that he ‘enjoyed them all’.

He added that the project highlighted the sacrifice that so many locals gave during the World War One battle.

“Joanne Hunniford and her volunteers must be commended for their stirling work,” he said.

Watton also took time to commend the officers and members of Killowen LOL 930 for their successful parade on Friday night.

He urged the Parades Commission to note: “This parade passed off peacefully, despite the usual provocations.”
