IT may be widely known as a location for filming of the world-wide tv hit ‘Game of Thrones’ but as well as luring followers of the cult series, Ballintoy Harbour is also continuing to attract another breed of daytripper and tourist ... wave watchers.

The spectacular storm scenes created when huge Atlantic breakers slam into the natural rock defences at Ballintoy are a sight to behold.

And increasingly many people go along in the winter months to catch a glimpse of nature venting its fury onto the north Antrim coast.

However the authorities urge people to take care and not to get too close to the raging waters.
