July drier than average

ARMAGH Observatory reports that July was somewhat drier than average.

Rainfall amounted to 32.9 mm (1.30 inches), that is, about 48% of the July average.

The mean monthly temperature was 14.9 degrees Celsius (58.8 degrees Fahrenheit), which is just about average for July. The maximum temperature recorded was 23.1 degrees C on the 27th. The minimum air temperature was 6.6 C (23rd).

The number of hours of sunshine was 121.3, that is, about 9% below the average.
