Met Office issues yellow warning as strong winds set to blast NI

The Met ffice has put a yellow warning for wind in place across some parts of Northern Ireland tonight (Wednesday).

The warning is in force between 8pm tonight until 5am tomorrow over southern areas of Northern Ireland.

The Met Office warns that strong overnight winds may have an impact on travel.

It highlights that there could be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport and delays are likely for high-sided vehicles travelling on exposed routes.

Some short-term loss of power and other services is also possible in a few locations.
