NI to enjoy bright sunshine but pollen levels stay high

Northern Ireland will bask in more Spring sunshine today (Friday), but the high temperatures will continue to bring a pollen warning.

Forecasters at the Met Office in Northern Ireland say today will be “dry and bright with some sunny spells”.

It will become rather warm inland during sunny spells after a chilly start, but slightly cooler around the Co Down coast due to onshore winds.

The maximum temperature will be 14 °C.

There will be some early evening sunshine in the east, but cloud soon increases from the west to give a dry but cloudy night.

The minimum temperature will be 2 °C.

The pollen count remains high today and for the next few days before dipping to medium levels on Monday. Tree pollen - mainly birch, ash and some willow - is in peak period.
