Wedding fair success

OVER 400 potential brides and grooms attended the Lurgan Mail and Portadown Times Wedding Fair in Craigavon Civic Centre last week.

A vast exhibition space created the perfect setting for one of the most comprehensive local wedding fairs around, with over 40 exhibitors showcasing literally everything a couple might need for their dream wedding day.

The event was extremely well supported by the local wedding industry and among the exhibitors were wedding venues, table decoration, video and photographic services, bridal dresses and menswear, cars, stationery, jewellery, tiaras, wedding entertainers and florists among many others.

Julie Bailie, Events and Exhibitions Executive for the Johnston Press group along with the advertising sales staff at the Lurgan Mail and Portadown Times spent months carefully planning the event.

“It was great to see it all coming together at last and to work with all the exhibitors and finally meet them on the day itself,” she said

Speaking of the hundreds who came along to the Wedding Fair, Mrs Bailie said: “It was fantastic to see the Lurgan Mail and Portadown Times Wedding Fair being enjoyed by so many visitors. The exhibitors really enjoyed it too and many praised the event for being so well organised and for running so smoothly. Afterwards quite a few of our exhibitors were already making reservations for next year’s event."

Lurgan Mail advertising manager Robert Abraham said: "We were delighted with the response and would like to thank all those exhibitors who helped to make the fair such a success."
