Wedding marks a first for Forum

LOCAL man, Neal Sharkey and his new bride, Amba Kabore, celebrated their wedding in the Millenium Forum on Saturday marking a first for the city theatre.

It was the first wedding reception to be held in the state-of-the-art venue and organiser, Aidan Brennan, Conference & Events Manager for the Millennium Forum, welcomed the challenge.

"We were delighted to host Neal and Amba's wedding banquet which took place in the grand surrounds of our Main Auditorium.

"We had been working hard with the Bride & Groom to put in place a day that showcased not only Amba & Neal's specific requirements, but also to highlight the Millennium Forum as a great venue to host a wedding reception."

"Amba, who hails from Ghana in Africa, has worked with our chefs in our award-winning restaurant, Encore Brasserie, to come up with a fusion menu that blends foods from Ghana & Ireland, and our chefs have revelled in the challenge, baking specialty Ghanaian breads and cooking Ghanaian cuisine.

"We were excitedly looking forward to giving Amba & Neal a day to remember and everyone at the Forum wishes them every happiness in their future together."
