Welcome Hosts wanted for Twelfth Festival

COLERAINE Festival Committee is looking to recruit Welcome Hosts for the celebrations in Portrush on the Twelfth.

Festival organiser and Coleraine District Master Richard Hodges, said: ‘Welcome Hosts play an important role and would be available along the parade route to answer any questions visitors might have, for example if someone wanted to know what route the parade was following or directions to the train station.

“We will provide full training for them and there will be support available on the Twelfth in Portrush. We would especially like to see young people coming forward to take up the opportunity of being Welcome Hosts on the day although everyone would be very welcome.

“The Welcome Host programme is an accredited course and it is widely recognised therefore it would be valuable to anyone who is currently studying Tourism and Leisure for example, however it would be an asset to anyone to include on a CV.’
