Wendy is off to New Orleans

Wendy Fleck, a primary 5 teacher in Gracehill Primary School, is travelling to America as part of a programme of International Study Visits arranged by the British Council.

The visit, which is to New Orleans, is for aspiring school leaders and will feature a number of visits to schools in the American city as well a series of meetings with education leaders.

“I am delighted to be given this opportunity,’ said Wendy. “It will fit in very well with the studies I have commenced with the Regional Training Unit.”

Wendy will be leaving for the USA next week and has promised her class a special surprise from America when she gets back.

“We were thrilled to hear that Miss Fleck had been selected for this visit,” commented Headteacher Lexie Scott. “I am sure that she will be an excellent ambassador both for Gracehill and Northern Ireland.”
