What do you think of the Larne crown?

LARNE Council may consider making the jubilee crown at Circular Road roundabout a permanent feature, it has been revealed.

The structure, designed and created Larne Skills Development, was erected in the centre of the roundabout just days before the commemoration of the Queen’s diamond jubilee earlier this month.

At the latest meeting of the development committee, Alderman Roy Beggs asked how long the council intended to keep the crown at the site and inquired whether planning permission was required.

Chief executive Geraldine McGahey responded that a planning application had been submitted and would hopefully come before members in time for the August monthly meeting.

Councillors will then have the opportunity to discuss how long they want the crown to remain at the roundabout.

What do you think? Should it stay or should it go?
