What is early Irish history asks Colmcille speaker?

WHAT is early Irish history? is the question historian Eoghan O'Mordha will be asking at the Annual Colmcille Lecture at the Tower Museum on June 8.

The lecture - organised by Derry City Council's Heritage and Museum Service - will draw attention to how aspects of the study of early Irish history have developed over the past 100 years.

The objective of the talk is to contrast the variant methodologies used by recent Irish and English historians in order to present their interpretations of the past.
