Where is your child tonight?

STRABANE Community Safety Partnership and Strabane District Policing Partnership have been encouraging parents and guardians living in Strabane District to help put a stop to the anti-social behaviour that is often associated with the Summer holidays in an advertising campaign called 'Where is your Child Tonight'.

Strabane CSP have utilized many different forms of advertising to publicise the message, included advertising panels on Strabane Council vehicles, electronic billboards, telephone kiosks, bus shelters, beer mats, washroom advertising and T-shirts for bar staff.

Parents are being encouraged to think about where their child is so that young people can enjoy their summer break in a safe fashion.

Councillor Michaela Boyle, Chair of Strabane CSP said: “The advertising campaign ‘Where is your Child Tonight’ encourages parental responsibility at a time of year when anti social behaviour is prominent. It is extremely important for the safety of young people that their parents/ guardians know where they are, who they are with and what they are doing, so that they do not become involved in activities that endanger them.”
