Whiskey flowerbarrels praised

THE themed use of whiskey barrels as planters for shrubs and flowers on the streets of Bushmills has been praised by Translink Ulster in Bloom judges, it has emerged.

Permanent planting in the area around Bushmills Distillery was also praised.

Moyle Council has recently been given a breakdown of comments made by judges during the 2012 competition.

There was also praise for other towns and villages in Moyle.

In Ballycastle they said there had been a concerted effort made to improve the harbour area.
