Whitehead householders alerted over bogus callers

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks has issued a bogus caller alert to householders in Whitehead.

It follows reports of people claiming to be from the company calling at a home in the town.

Christine Baker, NIE Networks’ Customer Relations manager for the area, said: “We take reports of anyone impersonating our staff very seriously. If someone calls to your door saying they are from NIE Networks, please ask to see their ID pass. Legitimate NIE Networks’ employees will be only too happy to show you their identification.
