Whitehead welcomes the Giro d’Italia

There was Giro fever in Whitehead this afternoon as the prestigious cycle race passed through the borough.

Residents got into the spirit of the occasion with many decked out in head-to-toe pink.

Keeping spectators entertained as they waited for the riders were a pair of pink llamas provided by Moneymore-based company The Jungle.

Meanwhile, a cash prize was up for grabs for those taking part in Omagh Wheelers cycle club’s Tour de France simulator.
