Whitewell project gets £93k funding boost from IFI
A local project aimed at fostering community confidence and dialogue around the future of interface barriers has been awarded funding by the International Fund for Ireland (IFI).
Greater Whitewell Community Surgery will receive £93,424 under the IFI’s Peace Wall Programme.
A total of £756,137 will be shared among seven peace walls projects, allowing each of them to extend their activities for another year.

Hide AdThe funding packages are part of a £1.9m IFI commitment to peace and reconciliation projects in Northern Ireland and the southern border counties.
Dr Adrian Johnston, Chairman of the IFI said: “With our assistance, many communities that are vulnerable to violence have become more resilient and remained with the peace process. We are supporting groups who are taking measured risks and developing new ideas to transform their communities.”
