WI enjoy active meeting

After the President Barbara Moore had welcolmed everyone the meeting was then conducted by the Committee.

The first item was a short sketch entitled ‘Next Please’. Linda Woods then organised a quiz called True or False when the ladies had to decide if a statement was true or false.

Barbara Moore organised a photographic quiz where members had to identify famous people from their photo. Marjorie Adams tested ladies on the contents of their handbags. Iris Megaw was congratulated on gaining 2nd place in the Federation Calligraphy competition. The ballot was won by Linda Woods and the competition ‘A Handmade Snowman’ was won by Kathleen Moore with Dorothy Shanks runner-up.

A very sociable and enjoyable evening came to a close with the singing of The Countrywoman’s Song.
