WI spreads its wings

FOLLOWING the learning curve of its inaugural year, Lisburn City Belles WI has set the foundation for an interesting programme of monthly meetings for the 2012-2013 calendar, with the launch of it’s new logo, which is a representation of the proud industrial heritage of Lisburn.

The first meeting is on September 20, when Allison Abernethy of Abernethy Butter Makers will be giving a butter making demonstration.

The WI will be joining in and then eating the proof of their labour.

They are a friendly group of ladies, of all ages, from all backgrounds and everyone is very welcome. So if you would like to come along, the Institute is open to new members who meet at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of the month at Lisburn Racquets Club, Belfast Road, Lisburn.

Membership is £25 and visitors can attend for £3. For more information email [email protected].
