WI welcomes special guests

The President of Mosside Wi, Margaret McMillan, welcomed three special guests and all the visitors who joined the members for the evening.

Jennie Currie from Larne came to present a new trophy in memory of her mother Mrs Annie Todd.

Annie was a member of Mosside WI from 1957 and held most positions in her WI and was the Area Chairman when they welcomed a party from Waterford ICA to Ballycastle.

Founder member Mrs Annie McAllister was also a guest. The guest speaker, Pearl Mitchell from Style Solution, Galgorm, had lots of sensible advice on the clothes we wear or should throw out.

She brought a range of clothes, hand bags and jewellery with hints for the coming season, colours, and latest fashions

The “Hat from “Yesteryear” competition was won by visitor Mrs Geraldine Graham from Portrush WI and member Mrs Lena McKeeman.

A special tea was served by committee members Doreen Patton, Eileen White, Betty Scott, Margaret Hermin and Ruth McQuitty.
