Widow’s plea over murder

THE deep emotional impact the Simon Tang murder in Carrick continues to have on family and colleagues was laid bare before a national television audience on Tuesday evening.

Simon’s heart-broken widow Betty (pictured), son Kevin and former employees of the Good Future take-way - outside of which the young businessman was brutally attacked almost 16 years ago - all spoke of their profound sense of loss during Tuesday evening’s broadcast of BBC Crimewatch.

Detectives investigating are hoping the fresh appeal will provide them with valuable new leads about events on Saturday 24 June 1996 when Simon was beaten as he left his Woodburn Road premises.
