Wife is accused of sex offences

The wife of the man accused in the ‘horror house’ case was charged with nine offences yesterday (Wednesday) at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

The woman, who cannot be named because of reporting restrictions, faces nine charges in all including unlawfully imprisoning a female, indecently assaulting her, causing another person to engage in sexual penetration and procuring a female for unlawful sex with a man.

She was released on her own bail of £750 to appear in court again on January 8 next year.

Conditions of bail are that she should have no contact with her co-accused by any means, her passport is retained by the police and she should have no contact with the injured parties.

Imposing the conditions District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said these were ‘an extremely serious set of allegations’.
