Will Chalotte strike the right ‘Deal’ withNoel on TV show?

Charlotte Kearney, 24, from Ballyskeagh, decided to apply to the show in January 2010 as she thought it would be a great way to get money for a deposit for a flat.

The former Miss Northern Ireland contestant, who is currently based in Manchester, didn’t hear anything for five months when she received a telephone call to say she had been selected to go for an audition for the show where contestants gamble on how much money is inside each of the 22 boxes.

This took place in London where she had to speak for a minute in front of a camera. Charlotte was thrilled when she made it through to the next round. After this she got a call to say she was to appear on the show.

An excited Charlotte said: “I went to Bristol in October where I stayed for 10 days. They film four shows a day so it did take a while with 22 players but I really enjoyed it.

“We were treated so well and we stayed at a luxurious spa hotel. Everyone was really lovely. I didn’t get to see Noel Edmonds that much but when I was playing he made me feel relaxed and was very nice.

“As the show was being recorded to appear on Valentines week there was a knights at the pound table theme which was fun.”

Look out for Charlotte on Tuesday February 15th on channel 4 to see if she strikes it lucky.
