With Moy Park on the advertising hoardings at the World Cup matches in Brazil, people have taken to Twitter in anticipation of George Best and Cookstown’s famous sausages also making an appearance.
Legendary footballer George Best helped Cookstown sausages rise to fame in his 1960s and 1970s television advertisements when he was at the peak of his footballing career at Manchester United.
While Moy Park is in the football spotlight in Brazil as one of the official partners, fans of the local brand have been wondering if separate company Karro Food Group will be advertising its famous Cookstown ‘sizzlers.’
While Karro is not listed as an official sponsor of the World Cup, there is still an appetite among fans for the famous Cookstown brand.
