Wilson backs care workers on low wages
East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson has supported Unison in its campaign to ensure that all care workers are paid at least the National Minimum Wage.
He called on HMRC to more fully investigate employers to ensure they were living up to their legal obligations.
Mr. Wilson said: “Although the overall economic situation is improving, many workers are not finding this reflected in their pay packets because of the way in which wages have been suppressed. This is made even worse if employers do not live up to their legal obligations.”
