SOUTHERN Area Hospice Services are launching this year’s ‘Win a Mini’ campaign, when one lucky person will be the proud owner of a Mini for just £1!

The campaign is in association with David Prentice Mini, Portadown, Autoline Insurance Group and Buttercrane Shopping Centre.

With tickets priced at only one pound, the lucky winner will be driving off in a brand new Mini First fully insured for one year.

This fantastic prize draw will be launched on Monday August 6 and tickets will be available in Buttercrane Shopping Centre through until Saturday October 27. Tickets will also be on sale in Tesco Extra Craigavon and in The Mall in Armagh at different times throughout the campaign and in all Hospice shops.

Rachel Quinn, Fundraiser Events Officer for Southern Area Hospice said, “The ‘Win a Mini’ Campaign has consistently been one of the best supported fundraising activities for the Hospice and we are delighted that it is running again in 2012. We truly appreciate the support of David Prentice Mini, Autoline Insurance Group,

“Buttercrane Shopping Centre, the other outlets who host the car and the many volunteers who sell tickets throughout the campaign. Over the years we have had winners from right across the counties covered by Southern Area Hospice and we look forward to seeing another lucky winner drive off in a fabulous new car complete with insurance for one year.
All of the proceeds raised from the campaign go towards meeting the £2.2 million pound figure we need this year to continue to provide palliative care to patients in areas of county Down, Armagh and Tyrone.”

Last year’s winner Ian Mackey from Aghagallon outside Lurgan said at the time of winning, “This is a tremendous boost for the family as we have had a difficult time in the last couple of months. Our 14 year old son Ted was diagnosed with cancer recently and is currently receiving treatment.

“We are very hopeful and optimistic for the future but this is a great lift in the run up to Christmas for me, my wife Dawn and our two boys. Ted’s illness came on us very quickly so we realise how important services like Southern Area Hospice are to the local area.”
