Win ‘high vis’ safety vests for your class

Walking to and from school in the dark winter mornings and evenings can be very dangerous for young children.

The longer periods of darkness in the mornings and evenings, as well as poorer weather conditions, mean the risks of being involved in a road traffic collision are heightened.

It is really important that all pedestrians take precautions and wear high visibility clothing to help them be seen on the roads.

It’s also really important for drivers to make sure their vision is up to scratch before getting behind the wheel.
