Bradley Art, set up by Martin Bradley a year ago, has taken off to such an extent that it is only now that this relative late comer to the world of art has found time to work on his very first major show to be held on June 3.

With a distinctive contemporary style to his paintings, Martin Bradley’s focus on people is gaining a reputation for the vivid colours and distinct element of fun which he weaves into them.

Although he sold his first painting at the tender age of just 14, Bradley’s talent was kept under wraps for decades as he pursued a career as an entrepreneur because his parents couldn’t afford to send him to art college.

It was just over a year ago that the 54-year-old picked up a paint brush again and he says he has been staggered by the interest in his work.

“It’s has just been the most incredible year,” said Bradley.

“It’s like coming home starting to paint again and it really has meant so much that people like what I do.

“I’m working hard on a new collection for the exhibition and because I have had so much support and interest from Lurgan and the whole mid Ulster area, I thought the Tannery would be a good venue for my first major show."
