Wine tips for ladies of Drumbeg WI
DRUMBEG: The speaker at the January meeting of Drumbeg WI was Kirsty from Direct Wine Shipments who presented a fun wine testing for members.
She began by explaining how to taste the wines she had brought along and some of the differences between them.
The ladies then had a chance to compare two white wines, followed by two reds, and to try out their senses on a mystery wine which was identified by Olive Palmer.
The competition for a ‘Hangover Cure’ was won by Hazel Irvine with Barbara Huss second and Maureen Lindsay third.
The ballot winner was Margaret Jordan.
