Wintry showers forecast for Mid Ulster

Wintry showers are forecast for parts of Mid Ulster on Saturday, with more ice to come.

According to the Met Office Saturday will be a cold and bright day with sunny periods and some scattered wintry showers. Heaviest of the showers will be along the north coast, the Sperrins and Antrim hills.

Brisk north or northwesterly winds. Fresh snow cover over northern hills. Maximum Temperature 4 °C.

Tonight: Any showers dying out this evening to leave a dry night with a widespread frost and some ice. A few isolated freezing fog patches developing across Fermanagh and Armagh. Minimum Temperature -4 °C.

Sunday: After a frosty start it will be a dry, cold and sunny day. A few freezing fog patches lingering through the day. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.
