Woman accused of assaulting police officers in Whitehead

A Whitehead woman has appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court charged with driving dangerously at Islandmagee Road and assaulting four police officers.

Amanda Porter (22), of Ransevyn Drive, is further accused of resisting one of the police officers.

She is also accused of driving whilst unfit and failing to report and remain at the scene of an accident.

Damage is alleged to have been caused during the accident on December 27.

On the same date, she is also accused of disorderly behaviour at Castleview Road, Whitehead.

A police officer said he believed he could connect her to the charges.

The case has been adjourned to February.
