Nichaela Broderick, 25, from Juniper Park in Dunmurry was caught in excess of the 60mph national speed limit on March 25 at Annaghilla Road, Ballygawley.

On being stopped by police she was also found to have no insurance for the vehicle.

The case was adjourned on a number of occasions, and a solicitor who was formerly acting for Broderick came off record after being unable to obtain instructions.

East Tyrone District Judge John Meehan had ordered the defendant to be written after the last failure to appear warning that the case would go ahead and if convicted, a warrant would be issued for her arrest.

But she still did not appear and convictions were ordered on both charges after which a bench warrant was issued.
