Woman critical following car accident

It is understood the woman’s car left the Old Dungannon Road at around 1.10pm yesterday afternoon, traveling down a bank and hitting a tree.

A rapid response paramedic attended the scene with an A&E crew, when the woman was released from the vehicle by the Fire and Rescue Service.

The woman was treated for serious injuries at the crash site, before transporting her to Craigavon Area Hospital.

She was later transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where her condition on Tuesday afternoon was described as “critical”.
