Woman denies theft of parade banner

A 24-year-old woman denied taking part in the theft of a parade banner from Moneyslane Flute Band.

Danielle Black, Albert Street, Lurgan, appeared last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

It is lleged that on July 11 last year she stole a band parade banner valued at £60 belonging to Moneyslane Flute Band and did aid and abet in the theft.

Black declined the opportunity to take the matter before a jury and chose to have it dealt with at the magistrates’ court. She pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned until April 21 to fix a date for a contest.
