Rachel Irwin, whose address was given to the court as Tarry Drive, Lurgan, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy, £75 legal costs and £19 court costs.

The court heard that the dog was found on the grounds of St Ronan’s College on the Cornakinnegar Road, Lurgan, on February 22 this year.

The boxer dog was taken to kennels by the local council and reclaimed by the defendant.

Irwin did not appear in court and was convicted in her absence.
