Woman grabbed by male at local park

Police are appealing for information following what they described as a '˜suspicious incident' that occurred in Seymour Street just before midnight on Monday, June 13.

Sometime between 11.45pm and midnight, a woman in her 20s was walking in the area, near Wallace Park, when she was grabbed on the shoulders by an unknown male. The woman got into a passing car to get away from the man.

It is also believed that the same male may have approached another woman a few minutes before.

Constable Adrian Bryan said: “The male is described as being aged in his early 20s, of slim build, about 5’6” tall and was wearing baggy grey jogging bottoms and a checked shirt.

“I would ask the male, or anyone who knows anything about this, to contact Lisburn Police Station on the 101, quoting reference number 926 of 13/06/16.”
