WOMAN INJURED IN HORSE BITE HORROR

A GLENGORMLEY man has warned people to stay away from a horse which bit his wife leaving her with a serious facial injury.

The man contacted the Times on Monday (June 7) claiming that the bite from the horse, which has been grazing in a field at Ballyhenry Road beside Sandyknowes Park, left his wife with a wound requiring 40 stitches.

A resident of nearby Dalewood, the man said that he and his wife did not wish to be identified, but were keen to warn other people not to approach the horse.

"We need to warn people to stay away from this horse. If someone puts their hand out to feed it there's a real possibility they could lose a finger. It would be a real tragedy if that was to happen, especially to a child," he said.
